We offer pre-study and mandatory internships, voluntary internships, Bachelor’s and Master’s theses, and working student positions.

What documents should my application include?
Please send us a compelling cover letter, your CV, and relevant certificates. We prefer digital applications via email.
What requirements do I need to meet?
We expect strong academic performance. You should have a good command of English, both written and spoken, as we work with international clients. If you are also curious, open-minded, and able to work independently, you will be a great fit for us. For a working student position, you must be properly enrolled at a university.
What does the selection process look like?
First, we check whether your application is complete. Our central application management team then forwards your documents to the relevant department. If there is mutual interest, we will invite you to a personal interview. You will usually meet the department head, a subject matter expert, and a representative from Human Resources. Dialogue is important to us — we want to learn as much as possible about you. At the same time, you will gain detailed insight into our company and potential responsibilities. Be prepared for an engaging conversation. If everything is a good fit, it may soon be time to say: “Welcome aboard.”
Will my work be compensated?
During your internship or thesis, you will receive a monthly allowance of €500. Working students are compensated depending on their area of assignment and level of experience.
What are the working hours?
For internships and theses, you will work full-time with us. Working hours are agreed upon with your supervisor. Some colleagues start their day at 6 a.m., others at 9 a.m., depending on the department. Working students may work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester. During semester breaks, you may work additional hours.
What are the chances of being offered a permanent position?
Good — provided we have open positions and you are a good fit for us. We have successfully filled many roles with former student employees.

- Construction Mechanic, specializing in Outfitting, Shipbuilding or Welding Technology

How long does the apprenticeship last?
Commercial apprenticeships generally last 3 years.
Technical/industrial apprenticeships typically last 3.5 years.
Can I shorten my apprenticeship?
Yes, if your performance is particularly strong. In that case, you may shorten your apprenticeship by six months.
How much is the apprenticeship salary?
Compensation is based on the collective agreement of the metal and electrical industry.
Where and how often will I attend vocational school?
Depending on your apprenticeship, you will attend the Regional Vocational Training Center for Technology in Kiel:
- Construction Mechanic
- Cutting Machine Operator
- Technical Product Designer
Vocational Training Center at the Kiel Canal:
- Industrial Mechanic
Vocational Training Center Rendsburg-Eckernförde:
- Industrial Clerk
- IT Specialist
Depending on the year of training and occupation, you will attend school one to two days per week or in block sessions spread throughout the year.

Will I receive work clothing from the company?
We provide you with personal protective equipment (helmet and safety shoes). For technical/industrial apprenticeships, we also provide work clothing.
