The previous CEO of GNYK, Jörg Herwig, will leave the company on 30 November 2021 to be succeeded by the internationally experienced Mr Rino Brugge, who will take over the position of CEO on 1 December 2021.
Mr Brugge has already been part of GNYK's management since the middle of the year. The mechanical and industrial engineer by education, who comes from a shipbuilding family, previously held leading positions in international shipbuilding in, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Among others, he was CEO of the large state-owned shipyard in Qatar and CEO of DAMEN Shipyards in Romania, the largest shipyard within the DAMEN Group.
