Combat Support Ship „Frankfurt am Main“ arrives at GERMAN NAVAL YARDS

The currently largest ship of the German Navy EGV "Frankfurt am Main" has arrived in Kiel to prepare for the installation of the integrated marine rescue center ("iMERZ").

With the addition of the iMERZ the combat support ship "Frankfurt am Main" will then have a completely new "hospital" for the comprehensive medical care of marines on the high seas. The "iMERZ" consists, among other things, of two operating rooms, an X-ray room, a dental technology department, various laboratories and state-of-the-art medical technology.

GERMAN NAVAL YARDS has a first-class infrastructure and the necessary experience to build technologically highly complex naval, government and special ships. In addition to new construction, the range of services offered by the Kiel shipyard also includes extensive repair, maintenance and conversion measures for ships and offshore facilities. GERMAN NAVAL YARDS KIEL GmbH is thus making a contribution to sustainable maritime circular economy, which is attractive to customers from both an economic and ecological point of view.
